SchoolInsight Receives SIF Certification for Oklahoma School Districts
Elmhurst, IL (October 3, 2011) – Common Goal Systems is pleased to announce that its web-based student information system, SchoolInsight, has completed the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) certification process. This allows SchoolInsight to be used by Oklahoma school districts to automatically submit data to "The Wave," the statewide longitudinal data system.
"SIF certification supports our effort to provide Oklahoma school districts with quality, comprehensive products," says Mike Xakellis, CEO for Common Goal Systems. "We're excited to offer districts another choice in student information systems. SchoolInsight is very intuitive, and educators save time instead of struggling with technology. Currently, a number of Oklahoma districts are piloting SchoolInsight and its integration with 'The Wave.'"
SIF is a standard that enables diverse educational software applications to interact and share data. Oklahoma school districts can select any student information system that is SIF and Wave certified. SchoolInsight now meets those criteria.
Common Goal Systems (www.common-goal.com) provides web-based services to help educators work more efficiently. In addition to SchoolInsight, it also develops TeacherEase, one of the first web-based gradebooks. Using the Software as a Service (SaaS) model, the company offers its products via the Internet and is responsible for all system operation and maintenance. Founded in 2001, Common Goal Systems has hundreds of thousands of users worldwide.
