May 2011 Product Release

Elmhurst, IL (May 20, 2011) - Common Goal Systems (www.common-goal.com), a leading developer of web-based products for schools, announces several enhancements to its student management system, SchoolInsight. "We've made SchoolInsight even better," says Pat Helmers, Vice President of Sales for the company. "Our customers will have more flexibility when it comes to creating their schedules, calendars, and letters to parents."

The new functionality includes:

Multiple calendars
Manage as many calendars as needed at your school. Improved calendaring provides for more flexible management of school attendance in complex situations. For example: Have one calendar for Kindergartens and another for all other grades. Have a separate calendar for students with different serving schools.

Letter Template Improvements
Build professional looking letters to mail to your parents. Create letterhead with school logos. Choose font and font size. Better control of salutation and recipient information. Improved placement of queried data within letters. Existing reports continue to work as before, and can be enhanced to use the new features.

Scheduling Improvements
Improved scheduling work flow - see course requests and fulfilled status while viewing individual student schedules. See available sections for any course request while viewing course requests. Real time conflict checking when scheduling a class.

An overview of these changes will be presented in a webinar on Monday, June 6 at 3pm CDT. To register go to: www1.gotomeeting.com/register/671440704.
