Common Goal Systems, Inc announced at the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC 2006) that it's web-based gradebook TeacherEase, now includes curriculum mapping, lesson planning and standards-based grading in a fully integrated suite of web services.
TeacherEase is an easy-to-learn web-based instructional management system that saves teacher time, improves parent communication and boost student academics. With the ability to align state standards to curriculum, lesson planning and individual assignment creation, TeacherEase now measures the educational effectiveness of a schools curriculum against standards.
With TeacherEase, state specific standards can be automatically downloaded to schools. All fifty states and the District of Columbia are supported. School districts are be able to store and share district level curriculum maps and lesson plans among the faculty. Teachers may quickly find district and state standards specific to subject and grade level. Skills and standards associated with lesson plans automatically flow to classroom assignments, assessments and standards-based report cards.
Traditional and standards-based grading communicates general and detailed information regarding individual student academic performance. Teachers, administrators and parents are now be able to track progression of the curriculum, student performance according to state measures, thus providing crucial data needed to get students above and beyond grade level proficiency. As always, TeacherEase continues to integrate seamlessly with district student management systems.
