SchoolInsight has new features to help Illinois schools with end-of-year state reporting.

 

Remote Learning Calendar Codes

SchoolInsight admins can now select the new remote learning and Covid-19 related calendar day codes. Illinois schools will need to mark Marth 17th through March 30th as AOG - Act of God days.

The new codes are:

  • XRLD - Remote Learning Day

  • RPD - Remote Learning Planning Day - Full Day

  • XRPH - Remote Learning Planning Day - Half Day

  • EDC - Emergency Day COVID-Related

  • TIC - Teacher Institute COVID-Related

 

Student attendance is required on X days. This includes XRLD and XRPH calendar days only.

Course Assignment Updates

Schools with standards-based grading can report student grades in the course assignment files. Admins can now create an ISBE grade placeholder for teachers to select the grade that will get reported to the ISBE in the course assignment files. Read the following article for instructions:

The software allows schools to fix course assignment files in order to close the academic year in the SIS. Some schools, while attempting to close the year, receive errors about missing course exit dates and student course grades. The following article lists the common reasons for these errors, and gives instructions how to easily fix earlier erroneous submissions of course assignment files in SchoolInsight:

New file Gifted and Accelerated

This new file is in the final development stages. School admins will edit or mass edit new student fields to enter required data. The file will be available to district admins for direct upload to the ISBE.
