Common Goal Systems provides a hosted web-based instruction management and student information system to the K-12 education market. We’re currently seeking a entry level marketing representative to promote our products nationwide over the phone and Internet. Our products are hosted ASP solutions and are sold on an annual subscription basis (go to www.common-goal.com for more information). The position is for full-time employment.
COMPENSATION:
Salary $30-35K plus benefits.

Our customers LOVE our products and tell us that they're the best thing they’ve tried in years. About 90% of our customers renew their subscriptions annually.
The marketing representative will be responsible for the sale and marketing of services both individually and as part of a sales team. During the sales cycle, they’ll initiate outbound calls to targeted prospect lists, schedule meetings for outside reps, give web-based demonstrations, train prospects over the web, and close prospects. We rely heavily on "try-and-buy" during the sales process, and the rep’s will need to initiate and manage dozens of free product trials. This means that the rep must be organized and enthusiastic. Also necessary are strong technical skills and teaching/training skills.
A high level of integrity is a must for this position. Subscription renewals are integral to the company strategy and the rep’s personal earnings. Renewals from happy customers are the result of the company consistently meeting the customers’ expectations. The company’s executive team expects a high level of integrity from all of its employees, especially from its sales staff.
